ĢƵ Interior Design Students Exhibiting Furniture of Reused Materials

ĢƵ is hosting “Reduce / Reuse / Redesign,” an exhibit of furniture created by interior design students that demonstrates creativity, craftsmanship and thoughtful reuse of materials. The exhibit is on display through Friday, Feb. 13, in the Campanella Gallery located inside Norrington Center on the University’s flagship Parkville Campus.

ĢƵ’s award-winning husband-and-wife duo of violinist Ben Sayevich and pianist Lolita Lisovskaya-Sayevich will present a performance as part of the University’s International Center for Music 2025-26 concert season on Friday, Jan. 23, starting at 7:30 p.m. at the 1900 Building in Mission Woods, Kan.

ĢƵ International Center for Music to Host Annual “Intimate Christmas with the ICM Orchestra” Concert

The ĢƵ International Center for Music Orchestra will conclude the 2025 portion of the ICM’s 2025-26 concert season with its fifth annual “Intimate Christmas with the ICM Orchestra” event on Friday, Dec. 5. The concert will take place in Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel on the University’s flagship Parkville Campus starting at 7:30 p.m., coinciding with the Christmas on the River event that same evening in downtown Parkville.

Piano Students of ĢƵ’s Stanislav Ioudenitch to Perform Recital on Nov. 13

Four students of Stanislav Ioudenitch, ĢƵ International Center for Music founder and artistic director, and gold medalist of the 2001 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, will perform in recital on Thursday, Nov. 13, starting at 7:30 p.m. at the 1900 Building in Mission Woods, Kan.

Banneker School Foundation to Host Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony, Dedication

A ribbon-cutting ceremony and dedication to commemorate the conclusion of a 40-year restoration project of the Banneker School, a historic one-room structure built in 1885 in Parkville to educate children of color, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25, starting at 10 a.m. at the school, located at 31 W. 8th St.

ĢƵ’s Annual Fright Night Event Set for Oct. 30
October 2, 2025
Fright Night, ĢƵ’s annual Halloween celebration, will be held Thursday, Oct. 30, at the Copley Quad residence hall on the University’s flagship Parkville Campus, from 6 to 8 p.m. Admission to the event is free and open to the public, and children of all ages are encouraged to dress in their favorite Halloween costume.
